Cecilia Xingmei Cai

Cecilia XingMei Cai, operatic soprano, professional voice/singing instructor. 


Chinese American soprano Cecilia Cai travels frequently between Europe, Asia, and North America. She has experience working with theaters, media companies, schools and non-profit organizations internationally. 
Ms.Cai earned B.A. in Music with minors in Italian Studies and Urban Education from Santa Clara University. She also studied in the Santa Clara University School of Education for her Master’s degree in teaching. She recently obtained Master's degree in Opera Singing from Cremona Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory of Music, from the class of golden age basso Mario Luperi. While being a classically trained artist, she is also an experienced educator. 


As an opera singer, Ms.Cai has performed principal roles in major productions including Nedda from “I Pagliacci”, Cio Cio San from "Madama Butterfly", Santuzza from "Cavalleria Rusticana", Leonora from "La forza del destino", Violetta Valery from “La Traviata”, Micaela from "Carmen" and Desdemona in a concert version of "Otello". She has also sung excerpts as Mimi in La Boheme and the title role of Tosca and Aida.


As an educator, Ms.Cai teaches one-on-one voice lessons to students of all ages online.  She has also taught public high school, private middle school, public elementary school, various music schools and heritage schools.
